YSSN's Safe Spaces: a place to regain stability and hope

When life feels overwhelming, having a safe place to go can make all the difference. YSSN's Safe Spaces offer free, short-term support for people experiencing a crisis. In a welcoming, home-like setting, people can rest, feel safe, and connect with the help they need.

Ways to Give

Today, YSSN operates 12 Safe Spaces across York Region, and demand continues to grow. That's why we're raising $1.5 million over three years to open four new Safe Spaces across York Region and South Simcoe, while strengthening support for the existing program.

Safe Spaces provide an alternative to hospitalization, homelessness, or involvement with the justice system. With your support, more people can get the care, stability, and hope they need during some of the hardest times in their lives. Together, we can help at least 50 more people each year find a safe place to turn.
