In this group, participants will make their own Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) to help them in their recovery, to stay well, and to improve their lives.
This is an 8-week, virtual series for people aged 16+ with mental health concerns living in York Region and South Simcoe.
The WRAP workshop is not recommended for people in active psychosis or who have a developmental disability. You will need to go through an intake process and get approval to join this group.

The Self-Compassion Workshop will help you to know and get the skills needed to be kinder to yourself and to treat yourself well. The DBS Group will teach you cognitive and behavioural skills to help you deal with problems that come up in day-to-day life. You will get to know how you make sense of things that happen around you and how your view affects your feelings. You will also learn helpful techniques to better manage your feelings and behaviours.
This group is for people ages 16+ who are living in York Region or South Simcoe with a diagnosable mental health concern, excluding psychosis and developmental disabilities.
The DBS Group includes 2 hours of skills training for 16 weeks followed by individual skills coaching sessions if needed.

This group is for people ages 16+ with a dual diagnosis (mental health and developmental disability) living in York Region or South Simcoe.
The ADBS group will help people with a dual diagnosis learn how to be mindful, handle hard situations, control their emotions, and communicate better.
To join the ADBS group, you must commit to the 3-year program that meets online every Wednesday, 1:30pm – 2:30pm from September to March. You will also need to have a support person come with you to all the meetings.
Note: Group participants might have a chance to join in-person meetings at YSSN’s Aurora office.

This 10-week Shame-Resilience Group will help you understand the relationship between shame and your mental health and teach you skills to help you become resilient to feelings of shame.
To join this group, it is suggested that you already joined or are currently in a dialectical behaviour therapy skills group.
This group is for people ages 16+ living in York Region or South Simcoe with a diagnosable mental health concern, not including psychosis and developmental disabilities. This is a closed group that is offered to people who are in case management with YSSN or CMHA.
