York Regional Police: Responding to Vulnerable Persons in our Community

Come join members of York Regional Police’s Community Engagement and Well-being Team as they discuss:

• The Vulnerable Person Registry
• Strategies for addressing exit-seeking behaviour
• Project Lifesaver
• The role of mental health teams
• How officers respond to mental health calls

These workshops are for families of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP), as well as caregivers working with children with special needs. Caregivers and professionals interested in this topic are also welcome.
