York Region Police: Responding to Vulnerable Persons in our Community
February 26 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Come join members of the Community Engagement and Well-being Team, from York Regional Police as they discuss the following topics:
- the Vulnerable Person Registry
- strategies to address exit seeking behaviour
- Project Lifesaver
- the role of mental health teams
- how officers respond to mental health calls
All workshops are for families with children/youth with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder and are registered with The Ontario Autism Program (OAP). This event is also open to caregivers and professionals interested in learning about this topic.
