What’s Next? Life After High School
November 10, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm
This series of four workshops has been adapted from the University of Wisconsin’s Transitioning Together program. Parents and caregivers may choose to attend as many sessions as desired. In addition, we will be assembling a teen group of approximately 10 participants who will attend four weekly sessions. Your teen does not have to be part of these sessions for you to attend the parent/caregiver workshops.
Our goal is to empower parents/ caregivers and teens to develop the skills needed to make the leap from secondary school to adult life. This may benefit families directly by learning new skills and acquiring knowledge related to navigating the transition to adulthood in areas such as employment, post-secondary education, and relationships. Parents may experience decreases in general stress, and increases in family empowerment, and quality of life.
Available for parents or caregivers of teens with a developmental disability.
